Photographic documentation of intimacy, presentation and representation of the body, social experimentations, with a poetic or sociological visual language. These are some of the strategies used by Aubane to question (in order to reveal or modify) social rules linked to gender identity and sexual identity. Her visual research can be summarized in questions like Why/how the private is political? Is the gender really exists? What are the codes of masculinity and femininity? Is eroticism political? Is the couple political? Can we really get rid of social norms? Is the identity always political?
