Dorina Kappatou

For as long as I can remember I have been involved in art. I started out with traditional painting and drawing when I was 7, but upon graduation from high school ended up studying Interior Architecture and Design in the TEI of Athens, Greece. Following my studies, I worked in the field of product and furniture design for a few years before attending AKV St.Joost for a Masters in Fine Art. Now my practice exists in the space between the two fields, Art and Design, blurring the lines of the two and experimenting with the numerous possible outcomes. I use design as a medium in order to realize concepts and ideas. I often collaborate with people from within and without the fields of art, to expand my knowledge and create new multi-layered work.
