Course: Ecology Futures

My work focuses on how through product design, which I studied at the BA level Minerva Art Academy in Groningen we can experience our surrounding in a nonhuman-centred perspective. In my artistic practice, I approach daily lives with new curiosity, always raising questions about the design behind everyday objects. My thoughts are visually interpreted in a form of an object, often with combination of a digital (moving) image. In my practice, I mainly work with handheld pieces made from clay, or a different alternative material, that encourage interaction and exploration. I chose Ecology Future, where we learn how to open up to an intimate experience with nonhuman, and hence become more ecological, simply by recognising the other.
