Yana Andonova

I am a Glasgow School of Art graduate and a photographer, involved for more than five years now in nature conservation through field research, animal care, research publications and presentations. My formal work has been instrumental in providing me with a unique entry point to documenting various environmental topics. As part of the Ecology Futures masters course, I am researching the role of the arts in wildlife conservation, looking specifically at a falcon reintroduction project in Bulgaria. I use photography, video and audio recordings to perform conservation fieldwork and to communicate it to diverse audiences.
