Kindred Spirits - Annelie Martens

Kindred Spirits is a short 2D animated film about the bond between a girl and her grandfather. The girl introduces her grandfather to an imaginary world full of wonderful creatures. As they grow older, the girl and the grandfather discover more and more of those fairy-tale figures hidden all around them and their bond grows stronger. The strong connection they’ve built ensures they will always be part of each other’s lives.

Hi there, I’m Annelie! I’m an illustrator and 2D animator from the Netherlands. With a colourful and detailed style, I try to create expressive images that create a moment of fantasy and hopefully let you get lost in that moment for a little bit.
