Pressure - Sterre Goedkoop

Pressure is a film about a young girl that deals with the stresses of daily life. She feels anxious more and more, overstimulated by work, the city and public transit. The more anxious she becomes, the more she feels she's being watched. That uncomfortable feeling that social anxiety can bring is what Pressure is bringing to the screen. With this film I want to create a similar feeling to what that pressure can look like. To open a conversation about the stresses of daily life, and how sometimes it can all get overwhelming. But for the girl in the film, when she gets home she gets to feel totally save, because her cat is right there to help her ease out of the stress. She gets to hold on to the comfort small things in life can bring, so she can let go of the stresses of the day and start again fresh tomorrow. 

My name is Sterre and I'm an illustrator and animator. With my background in illustration design I decided to give animation a try and fell completely in love with it. Telling a story with movement became my go-to way of creating art. It's an additional skill that allows me to tell stories about situations and emotions that aren't always easy to talk about.
