Marijn Ottenhof

Marijn Ottenhof is a visual artist working with performance, video, music and installation. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague in 2014 (BA) and from the Royal College of Art, London in 2019 (MA). Her work revolves around notions of distrust, anxiety and collective trauma, connecting them to political and personal narratives.

Marijn teaches the elective module Eye Research Lab from the Visual Arts and Post-Contemporary Practice course in which students are invited to create a moving image work, shown once a year at the Eye Film Museum. The class focusses on how disintegrating realities can be translated into the different elements of cinematic language, drawing inspiration from science fiction writers and experimental filmmakers.
