The Master Institute is currently housed in a former postal distribution centre in the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, just a ten-minute walk from the central station. The building echoes the programme’s symbiotic approach: individual studios are located within a large, transparent workspace that promotes dialogue and exchange. In this open studio concept, you gain insight into your own development and that of your peers, and interdisciplinary collaboration is facilitated. Critiques and weekly studio visits take place in this spacious shared studio, as well as outside of the academy.
There is an on-site canteen and bar, and the building is accessible 24/7, offering the freedom and flexibility necessary for your artistic practice. The school also operates well-equipped workshops for wood, construction, plaster and ceramics, plastics, metal, media, photography, 3D printing and much more.
