The Master Institute of Visual Cultures is proud to showcase the exhibitions of our award-winning and award-nominee master graduates of 2021 during Dutch Design Week.

When: 16th to 24th of October.

EKP Excellence in Research Award Nominees Master of Art in Fine Arts and Design

The EKP Excellence in Research Award is an annual award of € 2,500 for the best graduate research at master level, sponsored by SDK Vastgoed. The award acknowledges students’ creative ability to progress novel ideas into stimulating works and accentuates the transformative potential of artists and designers in the world.

Wacom Talent Development Award

At core of the Wacom Talent Development Award lies the acknowledgment of artists and designers’ potential of expression through animation. While recognizing the excellence of young artists within the creative industries in the fields of animation and design, it rewards their talent of storytelling – a powerful skill capable of evoking the critical reflections and conversations the world needs for progressive change.

EKP Award Ceremony

Jury members Aric Chen (Het Niewe Institut) and Saskia van Stein (International Architecture Biënnale Rotterdam) will announce the EKP Excellence in Research Award Winner in a ceremony taking place on October 17th.
