What's Next sessions for Animation students | funded by Keep an Eye Foundation

This year we've been organizing a series of What's Next sessions for our Animation students. In these sessions, we offer our current MA Animation students to gain insights from experienced professionals about the animation industry.

 

Insights from experienced professionals from the field

A broad scope of topics is covered, from practical things like how to get a project funded or how to set up a distribution plan for an animated film, to artist talks about working at a studio and developing a tv series.

 

'What's Next' Animation program

• Life after graduation: combining freelance work and funding independent projects 
  by Alumni Daphna Awadish (alumna 2019) en Juliana Erazo (alumna 2022) 

• The journey of Job, Joris & Marieke  
  Job Roggeveen led us through the history of the famous Dutch studio Job, joris & Marieke and shared their work process of some of their award-winning productions.

• The making of Undone 
  Hisko Hulsing tells about his work, from his amazing short films and his impressive work at the tv series like Undone. 

• How to sell your project at festivals & markets 
  Ursula van den Heuvel (Kaboom Distribution) shares the ins & outs of festival distribution.

 

Funded by the Keep an Eye Foundation

The What's Next sessions are generously funded by the Keep an Eye Foundation. The Keep an Eye Foundation aims to stimulate the arts and cultural sector by providing platforms on which to explore new ideas and concepts that might shape the future of arts and culture. By organizing competitions, performances, workshops and festivals and working together with a portfolio of art academies across the Netherlands, the foundation helps toward the development of individuals, the funding of ideas, the realization of new work and projects.
